Milk contains many molecules of a protein called casein.
Each casein molecule is a monomer and a chain of casein monomers is a polymer.
The polymer can be scooped up and molded, which is why plastic made from milk is called casein plastic.

Please note: This material is not for amateurs & beginners, the casein is very delicate and you must treat it right, a quick research on the internet and you will find many vintage and modern high end pens made from this same material, I know as I supply them. so bear this in mind when you buy it. I will not take returns on this material if you break it, i make sure before i send it that the material is stable fault free, it is expensive but beautiful.
